Off Season Training and Shooting

Las Vegas

The off-season has a way of sneaking up on on all of us, and it has a way of disappearing on you before we know it too.  While you are waiting for those draw results it is a good thing to make sure you are keeping up with your outdoor fitness and spending some quality time behind your rifle or bow.  We are all guilty of relying on past success making us think we don’t need to practice or thinking that we are okay skipping that afternoon run.  Being a guide and taking people out hunting as part of my living I can tell you honestly there is nothing more enjoyable than a hunter who is in shape and competent behind their weapon.

I have a bear hunt coming up very soon and I have been spending more time than usual behind my rifle and the confidence that it instills is remarkable.  I know the gun is on, I know my ammo is precise, and I know that I have practiced multiple situations that may come about.  Will it change the outcome of my hunt?  Maybe… maybe not, but I feel more confident going into the hunt and really enjoyed the time with friends, and by myself preparing myself for the hunt.

I hope everyone is enjoying their off-season and putting in the work to make hunting season a success.  Nevada Draw should be out next Friday 5-26-17, if you are a lucky recipient of a NV tag give me a call, to book a hunt, advice, or just to BS.
